Although I have loved reading about all the Creative Bloggers who shared their stories at justBeConnected this first half of 2008,

I feel it is time for a change!

July 1st marks the second half of 2008 and with it I hope to implement a new format at jBC.

Our Creative Bloggy World is HUGE!

As much as I enjoy Connecting with Creative Bloggers I don't spend much time as I use to browsing blogs, but I would still like to know what is going on in our Creative Blogging Community.

Wouldn't it be just great if we had regular contributers at justBeConnected to share about what is happening in our Creative Blogging Community?

I was thinking how wonderful it would be if...

• once a week or so a Creative Blogger published a post about what is happening on Creative Challenge blogs. Like what the topic is for a bunch of different Creative Challenge Blogs that week and maybe share some links to great posts associated with those challenge blogs like SPC or Sunday Scribblings or Wishcasting or...

• once a week or so another Creative Blogger published a post about what needs are out there in the community ~ like what blog sponsored charities need help or donations...kind of a Community Activist Blogger.

• once a week or so another Creative Blogger published a post about what blog posts moved them that week. I love when my favorite bloggers link to stories that inspired them.

• once a week or so another Creative Blogger published a post about what images moved them for the week or what video or podcast.

You get the idea!

I am extremely open to any suggestions you have about being a regular contributer.

I will still post periodically about anything I know is happening in the bloggy world and I will still host a Seasonal Random Re-Gift Swap {Sign ups for the Summer Random Re-Gift Swap will be in a post next Sunday May 25th at justBeConnected}. and of course I will still be adding blogs to our ever growing Creative Blogger list ~ I love getting your emails asking to be added to the list!

All you photography lovers out there will not relate, but honestly I do not like taking pictures. My pictures seldom come out in focus and I often forget to take still pictures of my set up as I always intend to. Downloading and then processing the photos is no fun at all!

But I do like looking at photos even if they pale in comparision to the actual moment.

How Are You? ~ I really want to Know

Sometimes you just have to let you children get messy!

The clean up is never as much fun.

Rather than spend an hour trying to get the paint off it, I just threw away this $3 plastic table cloth.

These clear glass stones we painted and made into magnets. A very cool and easy project. These came in a kit I bought on sale at the grocery store. Then the other day I saw a big bag of the same glass stones at the craft store and bought them to make for my Etsy shop.

After downloading my pictures there were about ten random photos. I think Maggie took them.

Maggie loves Oprah. I was listening to class nine with head phones on the other day. I plan on listening to the last webcast today. Even if you didn't like the book or have not read it I would recommend these webcasts. They were really great ~ helping me stay present, balanced, and living my life with more Joy!

Hopefully I will get some great pictures of Maggie's Birthday and Party and will share here next week.

the happiness of messy

Today for hours I looked through old scans and photos on my computer. (partly for my project which I will share more about soon!)

I came across this collage I made in my art journal in October 2006.

 

I am really happy right now.

I feel like I need a disclaimer because I use to think if only I was happy everything would be perfect or perhaps I thought if everything was perfect I would be happy. Neither is true.

Life is messy.

I use to think of "messy" as a Bad word.

But birth is messy, eating is messy, creating is messy, death is messy.

Life is Messy. Beautiful and Messy.

I am learning how to Sustain Movement in the Midst of My Messy Life.

I want us to travel together ~ life is so much sweeter when we have Peeps to share the journey.

I have been reading many blog posts and writing to you in my journal (more than 20 pages)

but my pages have not made it to the scanner and then to a post.

I feel lately like it is enough...

Enough that I write and send out my energy to the world.

How I love this bloggy world.

I just feel like bloggers (most of them) get how life is about this moment.

I am doing a little happy dance that I was able to buy size 6 jeans again for the first time in 8 years (thanks, I think, to a bit of vanity sizing from Old Navy as I weight 10+ more pounds than I did in 2000). I still need to exercise, but I am feeling good. and balanced.

Check out the sink in our bedroom. Sean wanted to try to replace the broken tile floor himself, but it turns out there is crazy water damage and our whole bathroom needs to be redone. We both suck at finding a contractor so our bathroom has been out of commission for almost two months. On the bright side...

Ok ~ I couldn't think of a bright side of having this old sink in our bedroom and the toilet out on our deck so I will end this post with some cute pictures from last week that make me smile.
