Swap Monday!

Hello Blooger-land.  I am so happy to be the guest host for February's Create-A-Connection.  I am Tanaya, and I'm a blogger, just like many of you here.  I'll save the lengthy introduction, and share my Blogger Profile with you instead.  Hopefully it will give you a bit of a peek into my soul.

A true Pisces by nature, I am moody, creative, lover of nature. I dream of moving to the country, the ocean, the forest. I want to make snow angels in the sand and catch pixies in my backyard.

I love too much, fear too much, risk too much and yet....it always seems like not enough. I am too responsible, too grown up, too sensible. I don't want to be, but I need to be.

And so, I am here to dream with you or maybe, for you.

I believe in the power of the written word.

Growing up, my nose was always in a book.  Words took me to places that I never dreamed I could go.  Books became my friends, my family, my shelter, my sustenance.  The library was my best friend.

• Have you ever picked up a book, cracked open the cover, and been transported to another time, another place, another life?
• Have you ever read words that changed your life?
• Have you ever dreamed about a character from a book you were reading?
• Have you ever gotten so excited, inspired, overwhelmed, that you just HAD to share it with someone?

"These are not books, lumps of lifeless paper, but MINDS - alive on the shelves".

For this month's swap, I'd like you to choose a book that changed your life. 

It might be a children's story that helped you calm a child. 
Maybe a poem, that was read on your wedding day. 
Something you read that shook your world up and made you look at life differently. 
It could have inspired you, it could have made you so proud that you could burst.

Take some time and think about the book, the words, the message.  How did this book change your world?  Send a copy of this book, along with a note explaining why, to your swap partner.  Blog about it on your site.

If you would like to participate in this swap, leave a comment that says "I want to swap".  Also, please make sure to mention if you are willing to send US only, or overseas.

Don't forget to include a link to your blog or email in your comment.  You have until February 3rd (midnight EST) to sign up.

Hi. I'm Wendy (Windy) and I've had my arm twisted, didn't take much, to participate. Truly, I'd ABSOLUTELY LOVE to swap. As with many of the swappers, I'm thinking I may have to send a whole library, Hmmm, might be expensive. Though I live in Canada, I'd really like to swap with (someone***) in the UK. Entirely up to you Tanaya.
