Photo Thursday: Family

A couple things have me thinking about family today. Of course, we just passed Valentine's Day. A day that is meant to show love and honor the people in your life you love (or buy them flowers and chocolate!) The other event that has me thinking about family is the passing of my mom's younger brother yesterday. She is on her way to Colorado for his funeral.

I know some of you are reluctant to post photos of family, and that is OK. I thought it would be fun to share photos of the people you love if you want to do that! Or if you're not comfortable with that, share things that make you think of family, traditions you have, etc.

I come from a large, very odd family. I have seven siblings. Each of them has their own family, and their children are starting to have children! When we are all together, there are 43 of us. (not including any extended family!) I'm not close to most of them. But I am making my own family now. Mike is my family! We have a fur family too! Mike is on the left being silly with a spoon on his nose!

What ways can you illustrate family!? What does family mean to you? Big, small, weird, we all have them! I need to remember that I am a part of my family whether I like it or not and honor that.
