Good morning, or should I say, good almost afternoon! I'm Jennifer, and this is my last post for Try Day.
My family was away for Spring Break this week. We spent most of our time out in nature, camping, and visiting beaches. As I often am when outside, I was drawn to the tiny spots, the small patterns, trying to imagine little creatures or things living there (do you remember the town Harriet the Spy used to imagine outside her home, in the roots of a tree?).
A few years ago I was on the beach shelling with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. There was an amazing bounty on the beach. Even for Sanibel, known for its shells, it was an incredible sight. As we walked along, looking for the shells that spoke to us, I got caught up in the wonder that is a seashell- while we humans have used them as money or barter and decorative items, they are actually part of an animal. How amazing is it that nature has created these beautiful architectural pieces that serve as homes? Whether you call it mother nature, a higher being, God, doesn't it just blow your mind?
Today I'm asking you to take a look outside- find the art in nature, the tiny details. Take a picture, or create a work of art with some other media to share your bit of nature with us. I've shared one of the photos I took this week on my blog. When I have a chance later today I'm going to add some more images. Be sure to post your creation on your blog and share the link here!
My hubby STOLE my camera and went camping over the weekend, so instead I posted a blog with photo's from the week before when I was in Utah.

Apologies, I should have included the specific link to my Saturday nature trek. See it here:

It's Sunday night, ahem, actually it's Monday just after midnight and I've just read this post. However, on Saturday I did spend some time in nature - and I did shoot a photo of what I saw.
Sometimes I find it completely amazing how in sync can be with the thoughts of people we've never met. : )
