Thursday Photo Day: Give me a hand

Thank you to those of you who shared a glimpse of what Spring means to you this past week, even in parts of the country where Spring hasn't arrived yet. (And that includes here!)

This week I want you to give me a hand - one of yours. Oh, not permanently, of course, because I'm sure you need them both to do all the creative things you do. Ahem. But I'd like to see everyone post a portrait of their hand or hands - alone or with someone else, at rest or at work or play. I think hand photos can be amazingly expressive.

Here's an older hand portrait I took of my husband and myself a year or two ago:

I also used the timer feature on my camera to take a new photo of my hands, just for this challenge. You can find it on my blog. Once your photo is posted on your blog, just leave a link in comments below so others can come and see.

So come on, y'all. Let's see a show of hands!

I agree. Hands can be so very expressive. I was thinking about this last spring as I was picking tiny stones along our farm road one day. I had a whole set of pictures planned. They were never taken. Now I can share this with you though:
